CAIRO, 26 JULY 2020: The Saudi Al-Riyadh newspaper said that Zamalek would move officially within days to negotiate with the Saudi club Al-Hilal to sign the Syrian player Omar Khirbin.

The newspaper wrote that Frenchman Patrice Carteron, coach of the White Castle, wanted to sign a 26-year-old Khirbin.

The newspaper pointed to the admiration of Carteron, the former coach of Al-Ahly and Mazembe, with the striker who participated with Pyramids in the second half of last season.

Khirbin, the former Al Dhafra Emirati player, participated in 12 games with Pyramids, scored 6 goals and sent two assists.

Khirbin scored 5 goals and sent 3 assists in 16 games he participated with Al Hilal this season.

Zamalek is preparing to resume the Egyptian Premier League by facing Al-Masry on August 6.

The African Super and the Egyptian Super Cup holders have a strong confrontation against Moroccan Raja in the African Champions League semi-finals next September.
