CAIRO_11 July 2020: Al Ahly Malian midfielder Aliou Dieng believes that the team that will score the first goal during the CAF Champions League semi-finals will have the better chance to win the game.

"It will be a tough clash and we are ready to fight for the victory." Dieng said on Friday.

The CAF Executive Committee announced that CAF Champions League semi-finals will resume in September with a Final Four (4) format, adding that the semi-Final matches will be played in a single match.

The Malian midfielder joined Al Ahly last summer from Algerian giants MC Alger and since then he became a key player for Rene Weiler.

"I am so proud to be a player in Al Ahly, the most popular club in Egypt. I've had a good time here since I joined the club."

Asked about the return of football after months of suspension amid coronavirus pandemic, the Malian added "We are back to training sessions and we follow all the precautionary measures to keep everyone safe."

Al Ahly lead the Egyptian league table with 49 points from 17 games and they are the favourites to win the title this season as they are 16 points ahead of the second-placed Arab Contractors who gained 33 points from 18 games.
