Hossam El-Badry, the Egyptian national team’s coach, chose the 11 best players in his coaching career that started since 2009.

El-Badry’s choices were from Al Ahly’s golden generation as he ruled the red devils most of his coaching career.

The formation chosen by El-Badry through "Al-Nahar" channel witnessed a noticeable absence of foreign players, as El-Badry entrusted the Egyptian players.

The formation came as follows:

Goalkeepers: Essam El-Hadary

Defenders: Sayed Moawad - Shadi Muhammad - Wael Gomaa - Ahmed Fathi

Defensive midfielders: Hossam Ashour - Abdullah Al-Saeed

Attacking midfielders: Muhammad Nagi "Gedo" - Muhammad Abu Trika - Muhammad Barakat

Attacker: Emad Motaeb

During his interview with Al-Nahar channel, the Egyptian national team coach, Hossam El-Badry, revealed that the decision to postpone the 2021 African Nations Cup to 2022 had rested him.

"Certainly the postponement of the 2021 AFCON comforted me and our plan changed for the coming period after the recent decisions."

He continued, "I expect the resumption of the continental activities with the qualifiers for the World Cup. Until then, I will plan some friendly games,”
