CAIRO_28 May 2020: Lionel Messi, Barcelona and Argentina national team captain, reveals that he was disappointed with the decision to postpone Copa America 2020 amid coronavirus outbreak.

"Delaying the Copa America was a huge disappointment but it is the most logical decision," Messi said.

The competition, initially scheduled in 2020 summer in Argentina and Colombia, was moved to 2021 summer due to the spread of coronavirus.

The Argentinean continued "The Copa was going to be a huge event for me this year and I was so excited to be involved with the tournament once again. It was tough when I found out it had been postponed, but I understood perfectly."

Lionel Messi, who is considered by many the greatest player of all time, dreams of leading the national team to the podium for the first time in his career.

Messi has never won a title for the Argentinan national team as he was unlucky to lose three Copa America finals in 2007, 2015 and 2016 as well as losing 2014 World Cup final.
