CAIRO-23 February 2020: Real Madrid suffered a shocking 1-0 loss to Levante on Saturday night at the Spanish League to grant arch rivals, Barcelona, a two-point lead of the league ahead of El Clasico, scheduled on Sunday 1 March.

Real Madrid could not find the target during the game in Valencia despite the many chances they created.

Levante won the game thanks to a late left footed strike from the club captain, Jose Luis Morales, who handed Real Madrid first league loss since October.

"We're annoyed because we did not get the win, but we have a game in three days so we need to focus on that." Real Madrid manager, Zinedine Zidane, said after the game.

Real Madrid's star, Eden Hazard, was forced to leave the game injured minutes before Levante's goal and he is expected miss the team's upcoming clashes against Manchester City at UEFA Champions League and Barcelona at La Liga.

Zidane commented on Hazard's injury, saying" It doesn't look good because he's hurt where he was injured before. It's a blow, but let's see what happens. He's in pain now and we'll see tomorrow, we'll do some more tests."
