CAIRO – 2017 18 June: Ending all rumors linking him with a departure from family, Eden Hazard announced Saturday that he will stay at Chelsea.

Amid the various reports linking him with a move to Real Madrid, the 26-year- old Belgian told Chelsea’s official website “I like this club because it's a family.”

Hazard added, “I have a lot of friends and we all talk to each other. I've been here five years now and I'm so happy. I'm at one of the best clubs in the world, so I'm very happy to play for such a big club as this."

The midfielder, who also plays for the Belgium national team, has help Chelsea win the 2015 and 2017 Premier League titles. Hazard starred in 39 games with Chelsea last season, scoring 17 goals and five assists according to whoscored.com.

After a great season, including being named Chelsea’s Player of the Year for the third time, Hazard explained that he has ambition for achievement with Chelsea next season, “Hopefully next year it is the same, we win the league and then I win Player of the Year."
