Zamalek's new coach Patrice Carteron will hold an introductory session with his players once he arrives in Cairo.

Carteron decided to go to the hotel to stay with Zamalek players, in order to meet them in person. Carteron after then will head for a meeting with Zamalek president Mortada Mansour.

Zamalek will play against Sharkia on Wednesday evening in the round of 32 of the Egyptian Cup.

Zamalek have officially announced the appointment of Patrice Carteron as a coach for the first team.

Zamalek's board of directors, led by MortadaMansour, met with Serbian coach Milutin Seridovic "Micho" before it was agreed to terminate the contract between the two parties.

Zamalek did not wait long to immediately announce his contract with French Carteron to succeed Micho.

Zamalek's board has decided to appoint Carteron and the coach will arrive to Cairo on Tuesday, the club announced on its official website.

Carteron is assisted by duo Sami El Shishini and Amir Abdel Aziz as assistant coach, along with the presence of Greek Antonio as a coach of the team.

The 49-year-old Carteron took over as coach of Al Ahly in June 2018 on a two-year contract.
