Liverpool and Egypt star Mohamed Salah made an achievement in the Ballon D'or awards in 2019.

Salah came in fifth place in the Golden Ball Award, which is awarded by the French magazine "France Football".

Salah outperformed players such as Robert Lewandowski, Killian Mbappe, Riad Mehrez, Eden Hazard, Kevin De Bruyne and Rahim Sterling.

Salah became the first Egyptian and Arab player to appear on the final list of the Golden Ball for two consecutive years.

Salah wrote history and won the Champions League title with Liverpool after beating Tottenham, achieving the sixth title in the history of the Reds.

After the Champions League, Salah lifted the European Super Title after beating Chelsea.

Prior to that, Salah won the Premier League's top scorer award last year equal with Sadio Mane and Aubameyang.

Salah's contribution made Liverpool compete to the end with Manchester City for the league title, but in the end the title was for Pep Guardiola's side.

Last season Salah played 52 games in all competitions and scored 27 goals and 13 assists.

This season, Salah has scored 9 goals and made 5 appearances in 19 appearances.

At the national team level, Egypt bid farewell to the African Cup of Nations round of 16 after losing to South Africa with the participation of Salah.
