Four Egyptians have qualified for the quarterfinals of the World Squash Championships in Qatar until Friday.

The brothers Mohamed and Marwan El Shorbagi will face each other in a match in the quarter-finals scheduled for Wednesday.

Zahid Salim made it through to the quarter-finals after beating Colombian Miguel Rodriguez 3-1.

Marwan Shorbagi also qualified after a 3-0 win over teammate Mohamed Aboul Ghar to face his brother Mohamed El Shorbagi, who surpassed Indian Surap Ghosal with the same result.

The trio qualified alongside Tarek Momen, who overtook Qatar's Abdullah Al Tamimi on Monday.

Wednesday's quarter-final:

Zahid Saleem vs New Zealander Paul Cole (4 pm)

Tarek Momen vs Peruvian Diego Elias (5pm)

Mohamed El Shourbagy vs Marwan El Shourbagy (6pm)

Omar Massaad lost 3-0 to New Zealand's Paul Cole in a 117-minute match that ended 16-16.
