CAIRO – 20 October 2019: Real Madrid had a difficult night in Mallorca as they failed to produce a good performance against the newly promoted club, Real Mallorca.

Madrid failed to return back in the game as they found themselves 1-0 down after 7 minutes with a goal from the Ivorian winger, Lago Junior.

Real Madrid manager, Zinedine Zidane, commented on the loss, saying “"We can't be surprised by a team playing in their own stadium, we knew what would happen, they surprised us because they scored, but then they backed down and we didn't find a solution."

Real Madrid lost their leadership at the league table to Barcelona who defeated Eibar 3-0 on early Saturday.

Barcelona are leading the table with 19 points and they are one point ahead of the capital giants.

Los Blancos suffered another setback away from the capital and they have to bounce back in Wednesday in Turkey when they face the Turkish giants, Galatasaray.

“The problem is that we have to show every three days that we're good," Zidane continued.

Real Madrid gained only one point from the first two games at the competition’s group stage as they opened the competition with a disastrous 3-0 loss to PSG and a 2-2 draw at home with Club Brugge.
