CAIRO, 25 September 2019:Al-Ahly assistant coach Sami Kumsan said that the second leg match against Cano Sport in the round of 32 of the African Champions League, scheduled for Saturday evening, is of great importance to the coaching staff led by Swiss René Weiler, despite the victory in Guinea 2-0.

Al Ahly started their journey to defend the Egyptian League title by defeating Smouha 1-0 in the match gathered both teams at Borg El Arab stadium on Monday.

Ramadan Sobhy scored Al Ahly's only goal in the 10th minute after a pass from Marwan Mohsen.

"Yes, we won in Guinea in the first leg, but that does not mean that we’ll not concentrate on the second leg. Al Ahly always respect their opponents and play every game as it’s a Final,” Sami Kumsan said.

Al Ahly face Intag Al Harby on Wednesday, October 2 after facing Cano Sport on Saturday.

Al-Ahly defeated Zamalek 3-2 on Friday night to win the Egyptian Super Cup derby at Borg El Arab Stadium.

This edition of the Super Cup is for the 2017-2018 season when Al Ahly won the Egyptian league while Zamalek won the Egyptian Cup.
