CAIRO 8 September 2019: Al-Ahly's return from Guinea is due on Monday (September 16th) after the match against Guinea's Kano Sport scheduled for the 14th of this month, which comes in the first leg of the 32nd round of the continental championship.

Ahli will get a break on Monday before resuming training on Tuesday in preparation for the Super Cup against Zamalek on September 20.
Al Ahly director of football, Sayed Abdelhafiz and administration director, Samir Adli, reassured all the team's trip to Equatorial Guinea to play the Kano Sport match. Abdelhafiz and Adli are scheduled to be ahead of the Al Ahly mission with 48 hours to arrange several things related to the trip, whether in hotels or training fields.
Weiler led his first training session with Al-Ahly last week, which saw him write down for all the big and small details of all the players participating in the training.

Al Ahly's football team continues their daily training at Tetch stadium, in preparation for Equatorial Guinea's trip, during which Al Ahly will face Kano Sport on September 14 in the first leg of the 32nd round of the African Champions League.

Al Ahly held a press conference at 1:00 pm on Monday, to announce all the details of the contract with the new coach Rene Weiler as well as the presentation of the assisting team.

The assistant team will include:

General Coach: David Sissa
Fitness coach: Thomas Penelli
Goalkeeper coach: Michel
Coach: SamyKomsan
Director of Football: Sayed Abdelhafiz

The club sacked their former manager, Martin Lasarte, after the team elimination from the Egyptian Cup, having lost to Pyramids at the round of 16.

Weiler is one of the promising managers in Europe and the highlight of his career was managing Belgian giants, Anderlecht, for one year.

Weiler’s best experience as a manager was in Switzerland where he managed FC Aarau, the team he represented as a player.

The Swiss manager led them to win promotion to the first division before leaving them in 2015 to Germany where he managed FC Nürnberg.

Al-Ahly fans are not satisfied with the team’s new manager as they expected the board to appoint one of the big names in Europe to lead the club.

Since 2013, Al-Ahly failed to win CAF Champions League title and the club fans are eager to win their beloved competition again.
