CAIRO 4 September 2019: Egypt's Olympic team, led by Shawki Ghareeb, will be training in the morning and evening in preparation for the two Saudi Arabia friendly games scheduled for September 7 and 10 in preparation for the African Cup of Nations 2019 in Egypt from 8 to 22 November.

Olympic football team’s coach, Shawki Ghareeb, promised to do their best, with the players, in the next U-23 African Championship.

The matches of the U-23 African Championship, qualifying for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, which Egypt will host in November, have been confirmed to be held at Cairo Stadium, which hosts Group A matches, and El Salam Stadium, which hosts Group B.

The Olympic national team led by Shawki Ghareeb, perform their first training on Sunday, at Cairo stadium.


ShawkiGhareeb, coach of Egypt's Olympic team, revealed that he set September 1 as the date for the start of the camp of the Pharaohs in preparation for the African Nations Cup under the age of 23 and qualifying for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.


ShawkyGhareeb confirmed that he held a meeting with the players and pledged everyone to be men as responsible and present a honorable image of Egyptian football.

Ghareeb stressed the importance of the next stage and the approaching date of the tournament and the need for diligence in order to win and qualify, especially as the tournament will be held in Egypt, also thanked all the clubs that cooperated with the team during that period.


Egypt's Olympic team is preparing for the African Under-23 Nations, which will be hosted by Egypt and start on November 8 and qualify from the first to third to the Tokyo 2020 Olympics directly.
