Argentina’s first match with Sampaoli against Brazil

CAIRO – 9 June 2017: The former Chile and Sevilla FC manager, Jorge Sampaoli will manage Argentina for the first time against Brazil in a friendly match on June 9, 2017 at Melbourne Cricket Ground Stadium.

Sampaoli is expected to enter with match with a 4-2-3-1 formation, according to Goal.com.

Goalkeeper: Sergio Romero (Manchester’s United player.)
Defenders: Jose Luis Gomez (Lanuss’ player) as the right back, Marcos Maidana (River Plate’s player) as the right center back, Nicolas Otamendi (Manchester City’s player) as left center back and Gabriel Mercado (Sevilla’s FC player) as the left back.

Two defensive midfielders: Lucus Biglia (Lazio and might transfer to AC Milan) and Ever Banega (Inter Milan’s player.)

Three attacking midfielders starting from right to left: Lionel Messi (Barcelona’s player), Paulo Dybala (Juventus player) and Angel Di Maria (Paris-Saint Germain’s.)
Striker: Gonzalo Higuian( Juventus.)

After many speculations rose upon whether or not Sergio Aguero will play an essential role with Argentina especially after not being called up for the friendly match against Brazil.

Sampaoli spoke with La Nacion newspaper saying, "Competition in his position is very tough because there are three or four outstanding players. We will talk to him and see how he feels. He can be a great contributor for us."

After finishing fourth with 72 points managing Sevilla, Sampaoli took over Argentina last week.
