Step by step: How to get your Fan ID for African Cup of Nations
CAIRO – 23 May 2019: Egyptians and other nationals recieved on Thursday their FAN IDs for the 2019 African Cup of Nations after registering their information at the official website Tazkarti.
A large number of soccer fans have been reported flocking at official outlets to receive their FAN ID that will allow them to attend the games that start on June 21 and end on July 19.
The tournament takes place with the participation of 24 teams in six groups for the first time in the history of the African competition.
Visitors can enter the official website, www.tazkarti.com, then fill their data to get "Fan ID" as well as buy tickets for all matches electronically.
Step-by-step, Egypt Today reviews how the site works to book tickets for the 2019 AFCON.
First: Get Your Fan ID
Once you enter the official website, choose "Get Fan ID" then you will be directed to a page asking you whether you are Egyptian or Other Nationalities.
The User will fill his data which includes; Country of Nationality, Language of Communication and Email Address. Then he must enter his Mobile Number to get the Activation code via SMS.
After filling your Mobile Number & getting the Activation Code, you will be directed to the next page where you must fill you First, Middle & Last Names, also you should fill your Mother's full name, Blood type & Gender.
The user must fill also his Identity Number which is written in his National ID/Passport, and his Photo.
And this is the last phase in getting your FAN ID stage which will allow you to Book your Tickets.
Second: Book your Tickets
The matches will be played in the Cairo, Air Defense, Al Salam, Alexandria, Suez and Ismailia stadiums. The Cairo Stadium will host the opening match and final match.
Once you enter the official website, www.tazkarti.com, you can press 'Purchase Tickets' which will direct you to the next page showing the matches, stadiums & dates.
In this step, the site will review the matches on each stadium and press the 'Book Ticket' specified in green and follow the steps.
When you press 'Book ticket', the website will demand entering FAN ID & Password.
Egypt won the rights to host the tournament after being selected over South Africa.
The 2019 African Cup of Nations was initially scheduled to be hosted by Cameroon. However, Cameroon was stripped of hosting the tournament for serious delays in preparations.
Egypt is the most successful nation in the history of the competition as Egypt has won a record of seven titles including three in a row between 2006 and 2010.
