Handball: Al Ahly beat Zamalek in the Super Cup

CAIRO, 13 May 2019: Al Ahly's handball team defeated Zamalek 29-22 in the group stage of the Egyptian Super Cup.

The match was held at the Youth & Sports Hall at 6th of October City, it witnessed the domination of Al Ahly over Zamalek. The White club preferred to play the Group stage with the youth U-21 team.

On the other hand, Sporting defeated Al Gaish 33-32. By these scores, Al Ahly and Sporting raised their record of points to seven, same as Al Gaish. While Zamalek failed to get any single point.

Said Abdel Moneim, Chairman of the Competitions Committee of the Egyptian Handball Federation said that the equalization of the three clubs in the points, will call for the establishment of a Three-teams group to determine the champion of Super Cup, on the days of 27, 28, and 29 May.

Al Ahly will face Sporting on the first day, before Sporting face Al Gaish on the second day, and the session will end with Al Gaish and Al Ahly match in the last day.
