Cairo 7 June 2017: Borussia Dortmund declared that the former Ajax manager Peter Bosz will be the team’s new manager after signing a two-year contract, the Guardian reported on Tuesday.

Bosz took Ajax to the UEFA Europa League final where they lost against Manchester United.

Bosz will be replacing former Borussia coach Thomas Tuchel who left the club after 2 years.

Hans Watzke, the Dortmund chief executive, said in the press conference “we had a very, very good feeling about Bosz from the outset, the feeling that something can really grow together here.”

Bosz is a former Dutch player and played for the Dutch giants Feyenoord from 1991 to 1996 and earned eight caps for the national team.

He started his managerial career shortly after retiring in 2000. He signed a three-year contract with Ajax in 2016, so Dortmund had to offer him a compensation package for breaking contract.

Dortmund sees in Bosz a good leader that may aid in their ambitions to secure the Bundesliga title after missing out for the past five years.
