CAIRO – June 7 2017: Northern Irish coach Warren Feeney defended Ivorian striker Souleymane Coulibaly who left Al-Ahly suddenly only after playing eight games.
"I only had Solly 4 months on loan from Peterborough United and he was fine with me," Feeney former manager of Newport County told EgyptToday.

"I don't know what happened with Coulibaly in Egypt, but he was never a troublemaker in Newport County," Northern Irish coach Feeney said.

Coulibaly tweeted a statement about the threats he faced in Egypt with Al-Ahly, what drove the other 2 foreigners Tunisian Ali Maaloul and Nigerian Juniro Agaye to falsify that the Ivorian striker lies about Egypt and Al-Ahly.

Al-Ahly contracted Coulibaly during the previous winter transitions period in January from his former Scottish club, Kilmarnock FC. The 22 year-old striker scored six league goals in eight appearances.
