CAIRO – 8 May 2018: Misr el-Makasa announced on Tuesday that they have reached an agreement with former international striker Emad Motaeb to join the club next season.

Motaeb, 35, spent his whole career in Egypt wearing Al-Ahly’s shirt, and he will experience wearing another shirt next season.

The Egyptian star started his career with football when he joined Al-Ahly at age 10, getting promoted through the club rankings until he joined the first team when he turned 19.

He represented Al-Ahly for more than a decade, and he participated in achieving eight Egyptian League titles, four CAF Champions League titles and the bronze medal at the FIFA Clubs World Cup in 2006 in Japan.

On the international level, Motaeb achieved three African Cup of Nations titles in a row in 2006, 2008 and 2010.

The striker will sign a one-year contract with the club to participate in the preseason with the team, which is expected to start on May 27.
