CAIRO – 10 April 2018: Former Real Madrid Spanish midfielder, Xabi Alonso revealed on Tuesday that Real Madrid players are able to win another Champions League title.

“They feel so comfortable in these matches that they are almost at the cruising speed they achieved last year; it looks like they can win another Champions League," Alonso told press on Tuesday during Bilbao International Football Summit.

Real Madrid won two consecutive Champions League titles; they are still on the race to win the title this year.

They defeated Juventus 3-0 at the quarter finals first leg and they will host the Italian team on Wednesday night at the second leg to secure their qualification to the semi-finals.

Alonso represented three teams of the eight teams playing at the quarter finals. Beside Real Madrid, he wore Liverpool and Bayern Munich jerseys.

The midfielder spoke about Liverpool’s amazing victory over Manchester City at the first leg, saying “Things very much went the way of Liverpool and with that goal by Mohamed Salah, they took everything from the Anfield atmosphere.”

Liverpool won the first leg 3-0 and they will meet Manchester City on Tuesday night to decide who will reach the semi-finals.

Bayern Munich also had a great result at the first leg of the quarter finals. They returned from Sevilla stadium with a 2-1 victory. However, the Spaniard believes that Sevilla can make a surprise at Bayern Munich stadium, Allianz Arena.

“In the Allianz Arena, it is going to be tough for Sevilla because Bayern are very sturdy, but they have already won at Old Trafford," Alonso said.

Sevilla reached the quarter finals after defeating Manchester United at their stadium, Old Trafford 2-1.
