CAIRO – 3 March 2018: In England, they place Marco Reus, Borussia Dortmund’s German winger, in the orbit of several English teams.

English newspaper, The Daily Mirror, hints especially to Tottenham Hotspur as a possible destination for Reus, but also mentions the interest of Liverpool’s manager, Jurgen Klopp, who knows Reus well as he led a historic team for Dortmund to the Champions League final in 2013.

Reus has, after this season, only one year left on his contract.

Reus has played only five games this season, after recovering from a serious injury in the ligament of the right knee. However, the winger has proven to be fully recovered by scoring two goals in three Bundesliga games since his return.

Reus joined Dortmund in 2012 but has been plagued by injuries which have been especially damaging to his Germany career.

He missed the 2014 World Cup after suffering an ankle injury in a warm-up friendly against Armenia the week before the start of the tournament while a groin injury ruled him out of Euro 2016.

His knee injury then sidelined him for the Confederations Cup last year. In the last seven years, he has had 14 layoffs of 10 days or more, according to Reuters.

He now has three months to show Germany coach Joachim Loew that he will be fit and in form for the World Cup in Russia.
