Egypt to face Kuwait in friendly match next May

CAIRO – 1 March 2018: Presentation agency, the official sponsor of the Egyptian Football Association (EFA), revealed that it will hold a friendly match between Egypt and Kuwait.

The match comes in the preparation phase prior to Egyptian national team’s participation in the 2018 World Cup which will take place in Russia next June.

Mohamed Kamel Omar, Presentation’s owner, assured that the match will take place at Gaber Al Ahmar international stadium on May 26.

President of Normalization Committee of the Kuwait Football Association (KFA), Mishaal Ahmed Al-Shaheen Al-Rubaie, expressed his happiness after he reached an agreement with EFA, and announced that he is keen to organize the game in the best possible way as both countries enjoy solid bilateral relations.

Egypt will play against Portugal and Greece during FIFA International break in March.

The World Cup draw put Egypt in Group A alongside Saudi Arabia, Uruguay and the host nation, Russia. Egypt opens their participation against Uruguay on June 15.
