CAIRO – 1 March 2018: Atletico Madrid’s French striker, Antoine Griezmann scored four goals to lead his team to defeat Leganes 4-0 on Wednesday night in the Spanish League.

Griezmann, 26 scored his seventh goal in four days as he scored a hat-trick to lead his team to defeat Sevilla 5-2 on Sunday night.

Griezmann opened the score for his team after 25 minutes as he received the ball from Koke and went one on one with the opponent’s goalkeeper to make the score 1-0.

The French doubled the score nine minutes later with a stunning free kick at the edge of the box.

Griezmann added the third goal through a header in the second half when he met a cross from Filipe Luis, he scored his fourth goal from a cross from Diego Costa.



Atletico Madrid’s victory reduced their gap with the Spanish League leaders, Barcelona, to four points, however Barcelona still have a game on Thursday night against Las Palmas.

Atletico Madrid has the opportunity to increase their chances to win the League title when they meet Barcelona on Sunday at the Camp Nou, Barcelona.
