CAIRO – 15 February 2018: Al Ahly’s captain, Hossam Ghaly returned to Al Ahly’s squad in preparation for their game against Al Assiuty on Friday at the Borg El Arab Stadium.
It will be Ghaly’s first game after he ended his contract with Saudi Arabia’s Al Nasr and returned to Al-Ahly in January.

Al Ahly manager, Hossam el-Badry’s chosen squad for the game consists of Mohamed el-Shenawi, Ali Lotfi, Sherif Ekrami, Hisham Mohamed, Hossam Ashour, Abdullah el-Said, Junior Ajayi, Walid Azzaro, Salah Mohsen, Bassem Ali, Mohamed Hany, Mohamed Naguib, Ahmed Hamoudi, Ayman Ashraf, Islam Mohareb, Karim Nedved, Sabry Rahil, Ahmed Fathi, Mohamed Abdel Monem, Phakamani Mahlambi, Amr el-Solia and Hossam Ghaly.

Al Ahly director of football, Sayed Abdel Hafiz expects a tough game on Friday, “Al Assiuty have had a great run this season in the League and we had a tough game against them at the first half of the season so it will not be an easy game for us,” Abdel Hafiz told Al Ahly official website on Thursday.

Al Ahly defeated Al Assiuty 1-0 at the season’s first half thanks to a goal from Abdaalah el-Said.

Abdel Hafiz praised his team after winning 5-2 against Arab Contractors on Monday, saying “the players want to win every game to defend our League title and they have the experience to deal with different situations during the game.”

Al-Ahly tops the league table with 60 points, while Al Assiuty are placed 11th with 29 points.
