CAIRO – 13 February 2018: Al-Ahly announced on Tuesday that they will play the CAF Champions League round of 32 first leg on Tuesday March 6 at Cairo Stadium.

Al Ahly will play against the winner between Gabon’s CF Mounana and Burkina’s Rail Club du Kadiogo. The latter won the first leg 1-0 in Burkina Faso and they will play the second leg on February 20 in Gabon.

Al Ahly who qualified to the competition as Egypt’s League champions hope to win the title after they lost the 2017 title to Wydad Casablanca in the final match.

Al Ahly has won a record of eight CAF Champions League titles but they failed to win the title since 2013.

Al Ahly fans are optimistic about their team's ability to win the title as it is doing well at the domestic competitions.

Al Ahly leads the Egyptian League with 14 points clear and they qualified to Egypt’s Cup round of 16.
