CAIRO – 30 January 2018: Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp revealed his happiness with the performance of Jordan Henderson and James Milner in Liverpool’s 3-2 loss to West Brom in the FA Cup on Saturday.

“We need all the boys and I think Hendo (Henderson) did well when he came on, like Millie (Milner) did. They brought some fresh ideas, obviously confidence. They were not involved in the first 60-70 minutes, so they showed up,” Klopp told press on Monday

Klopp substituted Emre Can and Sadio Mane for James Milner and Jordan Henderson 25 minutes before the final whistle when Liverpool was losing 3-1.

Klopp praised the players’ performance in the game, saying, “Both had good moments in the game and were involved in a lot of good things, so [it’s] very important for us, of course.”

Their contributions in the game helped Liverpool to score the second goal through Mohamed Salah, but they failed to help their team avoid the loss.

Henderson played his first game after five weeks of absence for the injury he picked up during Liverpool’s 3-3 draw with Arsenal in December.
