CAIRO – 13 January 2018: Al-Ahly's Moroccan striker, Walid Azaro, scored Al-Ahly’s only goal against Al-Masry on Friday night in the Egyptian Super Cup to lead his team to win their 10th title in the competition.

Azaro became the first non-Egyptian player to score a goal in this competition.

Twenty-seven goals were scored in the previous 14 editions of the competition and they were all scored by Egyptian players.

Azaro was Al-Ahly fans’ hero against Al-Masry when he took the ball from Al-Masry goalkeeper Ahmed Masoud to score Al-Ahly's winning goal during the extra time.

He scored his 15th goal with Al-Ahly since he joined the club from Moroccan team Difaâ Hassani El Jadidi last June.

Azarro continued his amazing week with his team as he led Al-Ahly to defeat their rivals, Zamalek, 3-0 in the Cairo Derby on Monday night, scoring the third goal in the game to be the first Moroccan player to score in the Cairo Derby.
