CAIRO – 2 January 2018: Manchester City’s Brazilian goalkeeper, EdersonMoraes, prevented his team’s first defeat in the Premier League this season when he saved Crystal Palace a late penalty on Sunday.

“It was a crunch time at the end of the game, and I knew how important it was, so I am really happy to save it. In the circumstances of the game, it was a good point, but looking at the whole match, it wasn't because I think we deserved to win,” Morales told Mirror on Monday.

Crystal Palace had a chance to be the first team to defeat Man City this season after Rahhem Sterling tackled Wilfried Zaha, granting Palace a penalty seconds before the final whistle.

Crystal Palace’s first penalty taker, Luka Milivojevic, failed to beat Ederson, who saved the penalty to end the game 0-0.

Explaining his way to stop the penalty, Morales said, “Before every game, Claudio (Bravo) and I sit with the goalkeeping coach to study the opponents' penalty takers for these situations.”
