CAIRO – 21 December 2017: Barcelona’s German goalkeeper, Marc Andre Ter Stegen, has conceded eight goals during his participation with his team against Real Madrid in the game known as El Clasico.

Ter Stegen believes that his worst moment was conceding a late goal from Sergio Ramos at Barcelona’s stadium, Camp Nou, last year.

“It hurts when I concede goals to any team, but if I have to point out one that bothered me a lot, it was last season, when Ramos scored past me in the 89th minute. That left me feeling very bad," Ter Stegen told Marca on Thursday.

On December 3, 2016 in the Spanish League, Barcelona ended their game against Real Madrid with a 1-1 draw. Luis Suarez scored for Barcelona and Ramos equalized the score for Real Madrid seconds before the final whistle.

Ter Stegen was Barcelona’s goalkeeper when Real Madrid defeated them at the Spanish Super Cup in August. The goalkeeper believes that his team changed after that loss. He said, “After losing the Supercopa, we knew we had to work as hard as ever and all push in the same direction under Valverde's guidance, who I think has already put his stamp on the team.”

Barcelona leads the Spanish League table six points ahead of the second-placed Atletico Madrid and 11 points ahead of Real Madrid, who still has a postponed game against Leganes.
