CAIRO – 20 December 2017: The head of Al Ahly SC medical staff Dr. Khaled Mahmoud said that Al Ahly's striker Marwan Mohsen has no medical obstacles prevtning him from participating in matches.

Mahmoud added that the player has finished his treatment for his injury in the cruciate ligament, which he had suffered in the last season with the national team. Mohsen currently suffers from fatigue at times, which is treated with an increase in rehabilitation sessions, Super Kora reported.

The doctor stressed that the player is under the supervision of the technical staff to follow up on his physical and technical wellbeing before being included in matches again.

Mohsen joined Al Ahly SC from Ismaily SC in July 2016 and made 13 apperances with the club, scoring only one goal in the Egyptian Premier League competition.

Argentinean coach Hector Cuper, head of the national team coaching staff, chose Marwan Mohsen to be the striker of the Egyptian national team at the African Cup of Nations. He had played in the striker position until his unfortunate incident, when he suffered from a cruciate ligament rupture in the tournament’s semi-final.
