CAIRO – 19 December 2017: La Liga President Javier Tebas believes that the time has come to implement technology to Spanish football games. The Spanish competitions have witnessed many wrong decisions from referees that affected the results of manygames.

"All the goals would be cleared up using VAR (Video Assistant Referee), it's not a hawk-eye problem, but we're working to have it at our disposal,” Tebas told the press on Monday.

Barcelona striker Luis Suarez scored a goal on Sunday at Barcelona, a 4-0 victory over Deportivo de La Coruña, but the referee disallowed it as he thought the ball did not cross the line, which the replay showed is a wrong decision.

Tebas added, “we only focus on instances involving the big teams, I've lost count of other moments, and next year I hope we can solve this."

Real Madrid won the 2017 FIFA Club World Cu and their players asked Barcelona to make a guard of honor to them in their game on Saturday in the League, which was rejected by Barcelona players.

Speaking about his opinion concerning the guard of honor, Tebas said, “if a club doesn't want to form a guard of honor for Real Madrid, they don't have to, it's Barcelona's decision whether people like it or not.”

Real Madrid is hosting Barcelona on Saturday at the Spanish League for the game known as El Clasico.
