CAIRO – 11 December: Al Ahly Club, headed by Mahmoud Al Khatib, announced the organization of a major sports event under the title “Peace against Terrorism” on December 30, the date of the big festival. The event will be a football match between Al Ahly and Atletico Madrid in Borg El Arab Stadium.
The celebration will be held with the full support of advisor Turki Al-Sheikh, President of the General Authority for Sport in Saudi Arabia.
It has been decided that Atletico Madrid’s team will arrive on a private jet to Borg El-Arab Airport on December 29, play the match the next day and then return home.
The players of the Spanish team sent a message of love and solidarity in Arabic to the Egyptian people through different social media outlets to stand together in the face of terrorism.
