CAIRO – 9 December: Gerard Deulofeu wasn’t given the confidence he sought from Coach Ernesto Valverde, which could make him think of leaving the team in January’s transfer window to get more minutes on the pitch.

Although his performance wasn’t as expected after returning to Barca, the Spanish Deulofeu maintains a good stature at Italian clubs which may be his gate to return to his form of past seasons.

According to Calcio Mercato’s website, Milan and Napoli are seeking to sign Deulofeu, taking advantage of his current conditions in the Catalan team.

The Rossoneri, hope to sign Deulofeu after his good performance in the last season. Napoli is considering signing him as well; especially since his penalty clause is €20 million and they are willing pay it for a player who performed excellently in Italy a year ago.

Deulofeu was the main nominee preliminarily chosen to fill the gap left by Ousmane Dembélé, but Valverde changed the style of play and relied on other players.
