CAIRO – 8 December 2017: Bayern Munich’s French midfielder, Corentin Tolisso, praised his French teammate, Franck Ribery, after his amazing performance in Bayern’s 3-1 victory over Paris Saint Germain (PSG) on Tuesday.

“He was phenomenal against PSG. He opened spaces for us in their defense to score goals. He is a true leader,” Tolisso told the German magazine Kicker on Thursday.

Ribery started the game against PSG before leaving the pitch in the 67th minute for Thomas Muller.

Tolisso, who scored twice against PSG, revealed Ribery’s role in helping him to settle in Germany, saying, “he helped me and (Kingsley) Coman adapt to living in Germany, since I do not understand everything.”

Ribery joined Bayern Munich in 2007 from Marseille. He has spent more than 10 years with the club and has turned down many offers from other European giants to leave.

Bayern qualified to the UEFA Champions League round of 16 after being place second in their group, behind PSG.
