CAIRO – 1 December 2017: Egypt was designated in the first group in the 2018 World Cup in Russia, with the host Russia, Uruguay and Saudi Arabia.

The World Cup draw was held at the Kremlin Palace in Russia on Friday.

Egypt will start its journey in the World Cup with a match against Uruguay in Yekaterenberg. Then, the national team will travel to Saint Petersburg to face Russia in the second match and the last match will be against Saudi Arabia in Volograd.

Egypt’s is scheduled to play its matches as following:
• June 15 at Central Stadium in Yekaterenberg: Egypt vs. Uruguay at 02:00 p.m. (Cairo Local time)

• June 19 at Krestovsky stadium in Saint Petersburg: Egypt vs. Russia at 08:00 p.m. (Cairo Local time)

• June 25 at Volograd stadium in Volgorgrad: Egypt vs. Saudi Arabia at 04:00 p.m. (Cairo Local time)

Egypt finally qualified to the 2018 World Cup in Russia after 28 years of absence, as it last played in the World Cup in 1990 in Italy.
