CAIRO – 29 November 2017 : Manchester City's Spanish manager, Pep Guardiola showed his admiration to Manchester City player, David Silva after his great contributions with the club.

“What he's done for the club will be written in history books and I hope he'll continue,” Guardiola told the press on Wednesday.

Silva, 31 joined Manchester City from Valencia in 2010, he has a contract with the club till 2019 and Manchester City hopes to renew his contract for another year.

Guardiola explained what he likes most about Silva, saying “I admire him a lot because he perfectly suits Spanish football, but here with the speed and the weather, the wind and the tough conditions, he has survived for a long time.”

Silva won two Premier League titles with Man City in 2012 and 2014, he also won the 2011 FA Cup, the 2014 and 2016 Football League Cups and 2012 FA Community Shield.

Silva has also had great success on International level; he won the 2010 FIFA World Cup and two UEFA EURO titles in 2008 and 2012.
