CAIRO – 26 November 2017: Former Manchester United French striker Eric Cantona revealed that he watches Manchester City games more than his own team Manchester United because of their joyful style of play.

“Prefer the way Guardiola plays; I don't watch Man City because it's Man City, but I would love to watch the team managed by Guardiola," Cantona told press on Saturday

Manchester City manager Pep Gaurdiola is having an amazing run with his team this season. They top the Premier League after 13 fixtures with 34 points.

Cantona criticized Mourinho’s style of play at Manchester, saying, “I cannot understand why United would take a manager who plays in a defensive way. I would prefer Guardiola as manager of Manchester United; it's more logical.”

Cantona wore Manchester United’s shirt between 1992 and 1997, and he had a great time under former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson.

Cantona believes that Mourinho’s way differs from Manchester United’s normal style. He said “Mourinho has a lot of charisma, has won a lot of things and will win a lot of things. But, the football I played, and Alex Ferguson played, Matt Busby before, it was creative.”

Mourinho started managing Manchester United in 2016. He led the club to win three titles in his first season with the club: FA Community Shield, Europa League and League Cup.
