CAIRO – 10 November 2017: Gremio found their way to Copa Libertadore’s final after an amazing run in the competition.

Gremio reached the final stage in the competition thanks to the strong squad of Luan Vieira, Lucas Barrios, Ramiro Benetti, and the man who attracted the eyes of biggest clubs in Europe, Arthur Melo.

Twenty-one-year-old Melo is one of the best players running in Brazil domestic league; his amazing performance in the midfield made football fans compare him to Barcelona’s Andres Iniesta.

Born in Golas, Brazil, Melo joined Gremio when he was 14. He found his way until he became a regular starter at Gremio this season.

Melo’s stats with his club shows his importance to them. He played 36 games with his team this season with a 93 percent pass success rate.

Melo’s debut with Gremio at Copa Libertadores put him under the spotlight as he won man of the match award after 40 accurate passes in the game.

Melo won his first call to Brazilian national team on August 2017 and he is expected to be among the national team squad at the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

Melo is expected to be in Europe next season with all the interest from big clubs like Spain’s Barcelona.

Europe’s biggest clubs always search for the promising talents to sign, and there is no better place to find football magicians than Brazil.
