CAIRO – 8 November 2017: Bayern Munich’s attempts to rejuvenate their squad have not stopped. After several important moves last summer, the German club now targets another key player to replace the club`s legend, Franck Ribery.

Everything points to the fact that the player chosen by the Bavarian team to replace the 34-year-old French veteran next summer is Julian Draxler.

The German Paris Saint Germain midfielder, who left a mark in his country with Schalke and Wolfsburg, is a “chance” for Bayern.

The 24-year-old, who was signed by the Parisian club in the past winter market, has lost his place in the attacking line after the amazing signings of Neymar from Barcelona and Kylian Mbappé from Monaco.

The interest in Draxler in the Allianz Arena is well-founded, because Bayern’s sports director, Hasan Salihamidzic, confirmed in an interview to SportBild that "he is a footballer that fits what we seek."

Bayern's commitment to rejuvenate the squad is evident. Last summer, without going any further, the Bavarian club already made a significant investment in young footballers.
The star reinforcement was Corentin Tolisso (22 years old), who arrived from Lyon for $41.5 million.

He joined Kingsley Coman (21 years old), Bayern Munich`s winger, who was already active in the Allianz Arena on loan from Juventus and for whom another $21 million were paid.

It is good to mention that this will not be the first time where Draxler plays in the German League if he joins Bayern Munich. The 24-year-old player featured in a total of 153 games in the German League from 2011 to 2017, scoring 23 goals and making 26 assists during his time at VFL Wolfsburg and FC Schalke 04.
