Ayoub to lead Ahly against Telephonat Beni suef

CAIRO –5 November 2017: Hossam El-Badry, Al Ahly's coach, left the team on Sunday morning and traveled to Canada.

Badry traveled to Canada directly from Morocco to check on his daughter who had a traffic accident.

Ahmed Ayoub was chosen to be Ahly’s coach in the match against Telephonat Beni Suef in the 32nd round of the Egyptian Cup.

Al Ahly had lost the Champions League final against Wydad Casablanca after losing 1-0 in Morocco and a 1-1 draw in Egypt.

Wydad won the Champions League for the second time in its history.

Badry failed to be the second Egyptian coach to win the Champions League twice. The only one who did so was Mahmoud El-Gohary, who won the champions League with Ahly in 1982 and Zamalek in 1993.
