CAIRO – 29 October 2017: Zamalek faces the Tunisian club Esperance at the African Handball Champions League finals on Sunday at 7 p.m. in Hammamet, Tunisia.

Zamalek qualified to the finals after beating their local rivals Al-Ahly 26-21 at the semifinals, while Esperance qualified after beating the host team, AS Hammamet.

Zamalek manager Magdi Aboul Magd depends on the veterans; Ahmed Mostafa al-Ahmar, Hassan Youssry and Mohamed Abdel Salam, known as Risha, to win the title.

“Zamalek players are mentally and physically ready to win the title, we will play against a tough team but we trust the players’ abilities to defeat Esperance,” head of Zamalek delegation in Tunisia, Rehab Abo Rgila, told the Zamalek official website on Sunday.

Zamalek last won the title in 2015 after beating the Tunisian club Club Africain, while Esperance last won the title in 2013 after beating Ahly.

Ahly players hope to return to Egypt with the bronze medal after playing against AS Hammamet on Sunday.
