Valverde praises Barca’s new wonder kid

CAIRO – 25 October 2017: Barcelona’s manager, Ernesto Valverde, expressed his admiration of Barcelona’s young player, Jose Arnaiz, after Barcelona's (3-0) victory over Real Murcia on Tuesday at the Spanish Cup’s 23rd round of the second leg.

“He is a savvy player, I hope he will help us in the future," Valverde told the press after the game.

Arnaiz, 22, scored Barcelona’s third goal in the game; while Paco Alcacer and Gerard Deulofeu scored the first and the second goals respectively.

Valverde added; “In the second half when the opponent opened up, he found his best positions. When he grabs the ball in front of the goal, he knows what to do; I think this is his first step."

Arnaiz joined Barcelona's second team in summer 2017 from Valladolid, and since then he earned a regular place in the second team line-up.

Valverde used many players from the second team against Real Murcia like Carlos Alena and Mark Cucurella beside Arnaiz.
