CAIRO – 23October 2017: Hossam el-Badry, Al-Ahly’s coach, confirmed that he prepared for Etoile du Sahel’s match only to achieve the victory.

Al-Ahly crushed Etoile du Sahel 6-2, 7-4 on aggregate, on Sunday in CAF Champions League semi-final at Borg el-Arab Stadium.

Badry, after the amazing victory, told the press, “I took advantage of the weakness points in Etoile du Sahel; it leads to this great victory.”

Badry praised Walid Azzarou, who scored three goals in the African clash, by saying, “Azzarou gave all what he has in this match; he deserves this hat-trick.”

“I did not want to risk by starting Abdullah El Said, Al-Ahly’s midfielder, in this tough match. Ramy Rabeaa proved himself well and performed a great match as well,” he added.

“Actually, all the players were in a good form today and we are looking forward to the Final,” He ended his talks by praising all the fans that attended the match at the stadium.

Al-Ahly will meet Wydad Casablanca in the final. Wydad Casablanca defeated USM Alger (3-1) in the semi-finals' second leg in Morocco after a goalless draw in Algeria’s first leg.
