CAIRO – 8 October 2017: Saudi Arabia decided to support the Egyptian team Sunday in the crucial standings against Congo during the fifth round of the 2018 World Cup qualifiers.

The Saudi Arabia launched a hashtag “#الجمهور_السعودي_يساند_مصر” (Saudi Fans Support Egypt), which was the highest trending hashtag on Twitter.

Millions of Arabs have been waiting for this day, and this day the Egyptians hope to hear their national anthem. The waiting lasted 27 years, so let’s hope that we will not wait longer to watch the first Egyptian football national team in the greatest football championship in the world. The World Cup will soon be held in Russia in 2018.
