CAIRO – 4 October 2017: Injuries sadden most people, but in the case of Chelsea’s striker, Michy Batshuayi, where the injury of Alvaro Morata could prove beneficial to him.

“It sounds strange to say, but someone's bad luck is sometimes the happiness of the other," Batshuayi told Sky Sports on Wednesday.

The Spanish striker Morata got injured during Chelsea’s 1-0 defeat to Manchester City at the Premier League on Saturday, and his injury will force him to miss many important matches. The player is expected to be out of commission for the next six weeks.

Batshuayi, 24, added, "I know that I will have more playing opportunities in the coming weeks. It's up to me to show that I'm capable; it’s a chance for me. If I'm called on, I want to be ready and efficient. I have to stay really focused.”

Batshuayi is not a regular starter in Chelsea’s line-up, as the Spaniard booked himself the starting position in Chelsea since joining the club this summer from Real Madrid.
