CAIRO – 28 September 2017: Bayern Munich chairman, Karl Heinz Rummenigge believes that the team has to recover quickly after the embarrassing 3-0 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG )at the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday night in Paris.

“I think it is a really tough defeat, it is important after this game to get back on track as soon as possible and demonstrate what FC Bayern stands for, and then show that we are a team that made the headlines in recent years in Europe and at home and that we are going to carry on in that vein," Rummenigge told Bayern official website after the game.

PSG humiliated Bayern Munich after a great performance from the Parisians. Bayern failed to defend against PSG’s attacking line of Neymar Jr, Edinson Cavani and Kylian Mbappe.

Dani Alves opened the score for PSG after two minutes after beginning, Cavani added the second goal at the 31st minute to end the first half with a score 2-0.

Neymar scored the third goal for PSG at the 63rd minute after a masterpiece play from his teammate, Mbappe.

Bayern Munich manager, Carlo Ancelotti , analyzed the defeat saying, “We had to attack and PSG just waited for the chance to play on the break. We had some good chances but were unable to find the right balance to prevent counterattacks. That was the key factor."
