Alba praises Valverde’s system

CAIRO – 24 September 2017: Barcelona defender, Jordi Alba believes that Barcelona manager, Ernesto Valverde is doing great with the team, Alba told press on Saturday.


“The coach is managing the squad to perfection, we are all getting a chance to play; the truth is that the coach is working with us very well," Alba told press after Barcelona’s 3-0 victory over Girona.


Valverde follows a rotational system between the players, most of the squad participated in Barcelona’s six games in the Spanish League “La Liga.”


Alba added, “We are responding to his methods, and whilst there is a lot of football to be played, I feel as though everyone has a positive feeling."


Alba booked a regular place in Barcelona’s starting 11 under Valverde’s command, after he struggled last season when Luis Enrique was managing Barcelona.


Barcelona won their first six games in the Spanish League to top the league with 18 points; they also won their first game in the Champions League with a score 3-0 against Juventus.
