CAIRO – 23 September 2017: Zinedine Zidane revealed that he is very confident of his team, and goals will come if his team keeps creating chances.

Zidane has spoken in a press conference prior to the match against Alaves in the sixth round of the Spanish league.

“It's a very long competition, and we're going to keep working hard. Every team will go through a bad patch and we'll be there or there abouts,” Zidane said, according to Real Madrid’s official website.

Marcelo is ruled out of the next matches because of his injury against Real Betis. Real Madrid stated in an official statement that “following tests carried out on Marcelo at the Sanitas La Moraleja University Hospital, he has been diagnosed with a grade 2 tear in his left bicep femoris muscle. His recovery will be monitored.”

He is expected to be back after two weeks. On this issue, Zidane said that “injuries are always frustrating for a coach, but there's nothing we can do about it. That can happen over the course of a season, and we have to deal with it. We lost the last game, and we want to change things.“

“I focus on the fact we had 27 shots. [The ball] just didn't want to go in. We didn't perform brilliantly, but it wasn't that bad either. I'm only thinking about the Alaves game and doing all we can to win it. We can't change what happened. That's football,” he added.

Real Madrid is looking to get back on track and secure three important points against Alaves. The Spanish giants placed 8th in the table with eight points, seven points shy of Barcelona.
