CAIRO – 12 September 2017: The Egyptian Tennis player Kareem Maamoun qualified for the second round of Istanbul challenger Men 2017 in Turkey on September 11, 2017.

Maamoun, 26, defeated the Spanish tennis player Roberto Ortega Olmedo 2-0. The match lasted an hour and 39 minutes. The win qualified him to meet any of upcoming match winners, such as the Belarusian professional tennis player Uladzimir Ignatik or the Greek professional Tennis player Stefano Testeibas.

He is ranked 260 worldwide while his Spanish competitor is ranked 282 worldwide.
Also, Maamoun has won International Men Professional Tennis player singles, whereby he is ranked number 345 on October 24, 2016 and represented Egypt at Davis Club (premier international team event in men's tennis) scoring a record of 7-3.
