CAIRO - 8 September 2017: Atletico Madrid manager, Diego Simeone revealed on Friday his best and worst moments during his six years managing the club.

“The best moment was winning the [2013/14] La Liga title, as it was something we wanted and that we looked for and worked for," Simeone told the club’s official media.

Simeone led Atletico Madrid to win the Spanish League in 2014 over Spanish giants, Barcelona and Real Madrid, this title ended 18 years of struggle for Atletico in the league.

Simeone added “As for the lowest moment, that would be losing the two Champions League finals, especially the second, it was an almost irreparable pain."

Simeone succeeded to take Atletico Madrid to the Champions League final twice in 2014 and 2016, the team lost both of them to their local rivals, Real Madrid.

Simeone spoke about Atletico Madrid’s new stadium, Wanda Metropolitano saying “The new stadium generates a lot of emotions, from nervousness and anxiety to optimism and excitement, people are going to fall in love with this stadium and I can promise them that it's very nice.”

Atletico Madrid will use Wanda Metropolitano Stadium for home games at the Spanish League new season after the club left their historic Stadium Vicente Calderon.
